Traffic stop ends after 3-county chase

A suspect who allegedly admitted to taking methamphetamine and drinking led police on a three-county pursuit after ramming a Minco police car and attempting to run over a Minco police officer.

Funeral services for Floyd Harvey Rhodes, 94, of Minco
were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at First
Baptist Church in Minco. Burial followed at Evergreen
Cemetery in Minco. Services were officiated by Rev. Gary
Journeycake under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral
Home of Minco.

held on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Minco’s United Methodist
Church. Services were officiated by Rev. Dave Conrad
of Minco United Methodist Church and Rev. Wayne
Childers of Minco First Baptist Church. Burial with Masonic
Rites followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco
under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of
Minco.

Charges filed for March incident

Doug Denard of Minco has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery following a March 19, 2011, incident at a local business. According to the police report, an employee at Gas NGo alleges that Denard grabbed her wrist.
