Leota Denny

Services for Leota Denny, 82 of Chickasha, were held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Christian Center in Chickasha. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home, Minco.
Leota was born July 22, 1931 to Virgil and Flora Ann (Hardy) Walton. She died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her home in Chickasha.
Leota was born in Pittsburg, Oklahoma and raised in Braggs, Oklahoma where she attended Braggs schools. She married William Joseph “Bill” Edwards on December 6, 1947. 
Leota was a member of the Christian Center in Chickasha, which she helped to start. She was devoted to her church and pastored the women’s classes. She had worked as a dispatcher for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Muskogee Police Department. She had also been an apartment manager and landlord and had done accounting and worked as a realtor.
Survivors include her four sons Johnny Edwards and wife Diane of Muskogee, Rex Edwards and wife Melanie of Ft. Gibson, Mike Edwards of the home and Ron Thomas of Chickasha, one daughter Peggy Head and husband James of Broken Arrow, one brother Frank Walton of Minco, one sister Roxie Razier of Reseda, California, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Norma Ruth Brown

Graveside services for Norma Ruth Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco
Norma was Born February 8, 1944 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Virgil and Blanche (Deimer) Fretz. She died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Norma worked as a truck driver
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Melvin Fretz.
Norma is survived by sons Rocky Brown of Edmond and Mikel Brown of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Nina Fretz of Yukon; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Patricia Ann Williams

Services for Patricia Ann Williams, 67, of Pocasset, were held on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Friendship United Methodist Church southwest of Minco. Burial was at the Friendship Cemetery. Services were officiated by Rev. Vera Walton and were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco
Patricia was born November 14, 1946 in Pulaski, Tennessee to Dewey and Virginia (Gatlin) Stafford. She died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home in Pocasset. Patricia graduated from Cornersville High School in Cornersville, Tennessee and came to Pocasset from Lawton in the 70’s. She married C.R. Williams on March 27, 1975.
Patricia was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, The Jolly Neighbors Club and The Hobby Club. She was known as “The Cookie Lady, The Avon Lady and The Egg Lady” and as Nanny to all the kids around. She loved her chickens, gardening and flowers and was a homemaker farm wife, and head chef.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Wanda Jean Farmer.
She is survived by her husband C.R. Williams of the home; sons Earl Williams Jr. of Pocasset and Buddy Williams and wife Jenn of Minco; daughters Becky Faulkner and husband Ralph of Coweta and Sheila Lynn Burk of Ninneka; brother-in-law Terry Farmer of Minco; numerous grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Troy Lee McKelvey

Troy Lee McKelvey was born on August 24, 1928, in Minco to Ernest and Boice Georgia (Watson) McKelvey; he passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home in Minco at 85 years of age.
